Team Leader2020-10-15T12:02:55+00:00

There will be many forms of media, including company websites, email accounts, surveillance video, power point docs, etc. to peruse for important information. Divide and conquer is key in your mission.

You are responsible for seeing the big picture, and keeping your team on task to complete your mission.

  1. Be sure to delegate certain tasks to certain Subject Matter Experts (SME). Once a task is complete, you can assign another.
  2. Encourage your SME to communicate information they find by:
    1. talking with Oversight Officers (OO) who will document findings on the Google Sheet
    2. populating the Google Sheet themselves
  3. Keep an eye on the Google Sheet and encourage Oversight Officers to communicate holes in their data (i.e. has anyone found tenure information on the board members? Has anyone found log-in credentials for MBI Mail?) You can also encourage OO to search for the info themselves as long as they can multi-task and keep the Google Sheet in order.
  4. Make sure your liaison(s) is in tune with the investigation. They can use information your team has found to barter with liaisons on other teams for information you may not yet have. Your game proctor will ask for your liaison list at the beginning of game play.
  5. Pay attention to the GS and encourage the team to search for items not yet found. You can also join the fun as long as you stay on your other assignments!

You are key in sifting through information and determining what is important and necessary for your mission.

  1. Become the expert on the task you work on before moving to another. Your team leader should delegate assignments to you, but if not, stay focused on your task until you feel you have become an expert on it.
    1. For instance, if you are working on the Board Member Orientation Slides you should know the document inside and out so if another team member needs info from this doc, you will be able to aid them.
    2. Feel free to take screen shots if this helps you stay organized- you can add pictures to the Google Sheet
  2. Communicate information that you find by:
    1. verbalizing findings to the team
    2. talking with Oversight Officers (OO) directly who will document findings on the Google Sheet
    3. populating the Google Sheet yourself

You take ownership of the Google Sheet, keeping it organized and up to date.

  1. Communicate holes in your Google Sheet and encourage Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Liaisons to search for answers (i.e. has anyone found tenure information on the board members? Has anyone found log-in credentials for MBI Mail?)
  2. Encourage your SME to communicate information that they find so you can document findings on the Google Sheet; let them know that they can also populate the GS, especially if they find a large amount of info on a board member.
  3. Encourage your Liaison(s) to communicate information that they discover from other teams so you can document the findings on the Google Sheet
  4. You can also search for info yourself as long as you can multi-task (keep your Google Sheet in order) !

You have unique clearance to speak with MB’s Head Admin to receive guidance, as well as speak with fellow liaisons from other teams to  exchange ideas.

  1. Be sure to let your Team Admin know you are the team liaison(s) so they can connect with with other liaisons from competing teams.
  2. Stay in tune with the investigation (and the Google Sheet) so you have information to barter with other liaisons for information your team has not found. Remember, the other teams are your direct competition so you want to be deliberate with how you share information.
  3. You DO NOT want to give the other team any actual solutions. Instead, explain how your team got to the solution and allow them to do the heavy lifting.
  4. Ask MB’s Admin for any advice or guidance you feel your team needs.
